About

Dr. Zifeng Wang is the Co-founder and Chief AI Scientist at Keiji.AI, where he leads the development of TrialMind, a system of AI agents platform and validated clinical environments for deploying, evaluating, and training AI agents on high-stakes clinical development tasks across 10+ biopharma, CRO, and hospital partners. He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His research builds agent environments, foundation models, and workflow harnesses for evaluating and training AI agents on biomedical tasks, including systematic literature review, trial design and optimization, patient recruitment, and clinical data management and analysis. He has published 20+ first-author papers in leading AI venues, including NeurIPS, ICLR, KDD, ACL, EMNLP, AAAI, and IJCAI, and high-impact journals, including Nature Biomedical Engineering, Nature Machine Intelligence, Nature Communications, and npj Digital Medicine. His work has received 4,000+ citations with an h-index of 28, and has been featured by Nature, NIH News, the NIH Director's Blog, POLITICO, and MIT Technology Review.
